Update as care home staff member ‘braves the shave’

Lindley Grange staff member braves the scissors to raise funds for Dementia UK.

You may remember a few weeks ago we brought you the story about Dave, a staff member of Lindley Grange Bupa Care Home who was attempting to raise £1,000 for Dementia UK by taking part in a sponsored haircut.

He received a huge amount of support for his achievements – so we’ve got an update for you…

Dave Nott from Lindley Grange Bupa Care Home.

Dave completed the sponsored haircut and has already achieved nearly 70% of his E1,000 target in fundraising. Speaking about his achievement – Dave commented ” am blown away by the support I’ve received so far. It took me 9 years to grow my hair to the length it was, so it’s reassuring to know that everyone feels that Dementia UK is as worthy a cause as I do.”

He added ” It is a charity that I hold very close to my heart, and I’m really pleased to have been able to support them in any way I could. I’m hoping we will be able to reach our fundraising target but am delighted that we have been able to get this far.”

There’s still time to donate to the cause by visiting: https://www.facebook.com/donate/328005782296779/2619972211631429/
