Sleeping Beauty coming to Marsden Mechanics this December!

Panto-Ever-After return to the Mechanics Hall after their smash panto success Cinderella in 2019

Sleeping Beauty – the brand new panto from Panto-Ever-After – is set to delight audiences again in Huddersfield this December.

Following their acclaimed production of Cinderella in 2019, they now invite us to Colne Valley Castle in the land of Formica, where the Royal Family are preparing for the christening of their baby daughter, Princess Aurora. With daring duels, lavish costumes and bucket loads of laughs, we are guaranteed a festive treat from their brand new interpretation of the classic fairytale for 2021.

Reviews for Previous Shows:

Panto-Ever-After is a West Yorkshire-based theatre company led by three actors each with over 85 years of experience of performing pantomimes across the UK between them. Strong storytelling is at the heart of what they do – and believe that whilst the visual aspects are important in panto,  a successful panto should also have a strong and clear story at its heart. They have a passion for producing fun, immersive pantos with memorable characters and exciting visuals.

Delighted to be back working with the Mechanics Hall again this year, Panto-Ever-After are all set again to create their trademark traverse stage, that allows audiences to be even more immersed in the on-stage action – closer to all the comedy, the dances, the wonderfully over-the-top costumes and, of course, the scary bits!

This year the Huddersfield-based company have even included several performances at the younger-family-friendly timings of 11am, so nobody needs to miss out on the Christmas magic because a show runs on past their bedtime!

They are also helping by offering the best value ticket in the region, with a family ticket for only £45!

Director of this year’s production, Scott Worsfold, who also plays Dame Nurse Nanny Fanny in the production said, “We know times have been tough for many families over the past year, and many missed out on following their usual family tradition of going to see a live pantomime at Christmas. So we have got the best party planned for everyone who comes along to see us, we all have some serious making up to do!”
