Robin Hood replacing Christmas stockings for tights at the Lawrence Batley theatre

All the fun you could wish for this Christmas, as Lawrence Batley Theatre presents its magical family pantomime Robin Hood!

Running from Friday 3 December 2021 to Sunday 2 January 2022
Produced by Lawrence Batley Theatre and The Big Tiny; Directed by: Ben Richards

Ready, aim, fire! For our new pantomime Robin Hood coming to Huddersfield December 2021.

The townsfolk of Nottingham are trembling in their boots as the big bad Sheriff of Nottingham taxes them out of existence. Who can save them but Robin Hood… and a very sassy Maid Marion!

With jaw-dropping effects, a side-splitting script and more fun than you can shoot an arrow at, come and join Robin and all his Merry Men for the panto adventure of the year.

Following the success of Sleeping Beauty and Aladdin, Robin Hood is set to hit the mark with all the mischief and musical hilarity we come to expect from pantomime at the Lawrence Batley Theatre.

Robin Hood is performed by a professional company of eight actors bringing together faces old and new for this fantastic production. Mark Houston (9 to 5, Chocolate Cake, Musical of the Year) stars as our title hero Robin Hood. Maid Marion will be played by Natalie Spence (Eastenders, Outlander). Everybody’s favourite merry woman Dame extraordinaire Little Joan is perfectly portrayed by Robert Styles (Priscilla, Call the Midwife, Eastenders). Lawrence Stubbings (The Importance of Being Earnest, Twelfth Night, Macbeth) takes on the role of the big bad Sheriff of Nottingham. Will Cousins (Twang, Punch and Judy Fellow) will play the role of the comic Will Scarlet. Yorkshire actor Becca Lee-Isaacs (Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Unbreakable, Hello Dolly) appears for the first time on the Huddersfield stage as Fairy Bree-Anne. Friar Tuck will be played by Tom Murphy (Gypsy, Funny Girl, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (UK tour)).

Making a very welcome return to the Lawrence Batley Theatre stage is Laura Corcoran (Frisky from musical cabaret duo Frisky & Mannish) as Guy of Gisbourne.
