Rainbow shot 🌈

You may see a rainbow as a symbol of hope, showing support for our NHS workers, or as a celebration of LGBT History Month – or maybe you’re just looking for something colourful during this grey winter month.

Whatever the reason, this cheerful cocktail will brighten up your evening.  A steady hand is needed to get the distinct layers.

You will need a shot measuring cup and two small clear glasses (double shot glasses are ideal).

Makes 2:

  • 2 shots of orange juice
  • 2 teaspoons of grenadine
  • 1 shot of vodka
  • 2 shots of blue curacao liqueur

Put a shot of orange juice into each of the shot glasses, then carefully slide one teaspoon of grenadine down the inside of each glass so that it settles in a layer under the orange juice.

In a separate glass, mix the vodka and curacao together.

Place a teaspoon upside down just below the rim on the inside of the shot glass, and carefully pour the blue mixture over the spoon; this should then settle on top of the orange juice, with the combination of colours giving a green stripe below the blue.  Cheers!
