Police appeal to locate man missing from Huddersfield

Police are appealing for information to locate a man reported missing from Huddersfield.

Kirklees District CID would like to speak to anyone who has seen or has information about missing Daniel Astin ( 31) who is from Burnley but is studying at Huddersfield University.

Officers are worried for the welfare of the 31-year-old was reported missing on Friday after not being seen at the University or his accommodation for around four weeks.

He is described as white , around 5ft 10ins tall, heavily built with a shaven head and facial hair.

A/DI Simon Reddington of Kirklees CID, said: “We do have growing concerns for Daniel’s welfare and have been carrying out a number of enquiries in Huddersfield and in Burnley to locate him.

“I would ask Daniel or anyone who may have seen him in recent days to contact us and let us know he is ok.

“Anyone who has information about Daniel is asked to contact Kirklees CID on 101 referencing police log 883 of May 21.
