Police appeal for information following ‘suspicious incident’ in Almondbury

Police are appealing for information following a suspicious incident in which a victim was chased in Almondbury in Huddersfield.

Kirklees District CID would like to speak to anyone who saw or has information about the incident on Eastlands which was reported to police 1.11pm on Monday April 12.

No-one was injured in the incident in which the three suspects were described as carrying a bladed weapon. 

The three males were seen running towards Southfield Road and were described as aged 17-20-years old and wearing dark clothing.

Detective Inspector Oliver Coates of Kirklees CID, said:  “We are investigating this suspicious incident from yesterday and would very much like to speak to anyone who saw or has information about what took place.

“Detectives are carrying out a number of enquiries into recent criminal incidents in the Almondbury area and recognise they will be of concern for communities. 

“Patrols have been stepped up by the Huddersfield NPT I want to reassure residents that this sort of behaviour will not be tolerated and is being fully investigated.”
