Police appeal for information after man attacked in Town Centre

Officers are appealing for information following an assault in Huddersfield Town Centre. 

West Yorkshire Police have released details after a 44-year-old man was walking on New Street between midnight and 2am on Monday 31 May 2021 when three unknown males began shouting at him.

It is then reported that one male assaulted the victim, punching him in the face. The victim suffered serious facial injuries and required hospital treatment following the incident.

It is believed one suspect fled the scene on foot and the two other suspects left in a vehicle. The suspects are described as Asian males and one is described as having a beard.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, saw a vehicle prior to or after the incident or saw anyone running on foot around New Street or Market Place between midnight and 2am, is asked to contact 101 quoting crime reference number 13210269466.
