Police appeal following road rage incident in Huddersfield

Police in Kirklees are appealing for information after a road rage incident involving two vehicles in Huddersfield.

Kirklees Patrol Team officers are continuing to investigate the incident which took place at about 12.30pm on Monday April 12 on Castlegate.

It occurred after a Mitsubishi L200 was involved in a minor collision with an unregistered off road bike while turning left onto Castlegate at traffic lights opposite the town’s bus station.

The rider then followed the car to the next set of traffic lights, opposite the fire station, where he got off the motorbike and kicked the Mitsubishi, causing damage.

The suspect, who was riding without a helmet, then returned to the motorbike and rode off in the direction of Shorehead roundabout and the Sainsbury’s supermarket.

In the appeal, he is described n overweight Asian male, aged between his late teens and mid 20s, 5ft 7ins tall, and wearing black trousers’.
