Huddersfield Town Women will look to extend their 7-match winning streak as they face Middlesbrough Women at home this Sunday.
This comes after the Terriers demolished Stoke City on Sunday with an 8-1 scoreline to send a message to their league rivals.
Town will hope to replicate the same result they achieved in the reverse fixture, as Jordan Wimpenny’s team were 4-2 winners up at the away match at Middlesbrough this past October.
This will also be Boro’s first outing since before the second lockdown with their game being postponed last week due to heavy rainfall. They find themselves currently sat in 9th place in the Women’s National League.
Once again fans are able to attend the match at the Stafflex Arena, Storthes Hall following an announcement from the FA last week.
Some may also see a returning face within the team as Sarah Dobby announced her arrival back into the first team as a player/coach which she described as “amazing to be back out there and an honour to go out and play with these girls”. Jordan was also pleased with the (re)signing: “It was a great moment for Dobby, she’s been with the club for a long time and was dying to get back on the pitch”.
We at Huddersfield Times wish HTAFCWomen good luck once again this week.
