It’s the news that a lot of fans were dreading, but expecting. organisers of the Hella Mega tour that was due to go ahead at the John Smith’s Stadium on 26th June have announced that they are delaying the concert until next year.
Fans were due to see bands such as Green Day, Weezer and Fall Out Boy as part of the Hella Mega tour.
Ticket holders received emails earlier informing them of the news of the delay. The concert has now been re-arranged for Saturday 25th June 2022, and concert-goers have been re-assured that their tickets are valid for the new dates.
In a statement to fans, organisers said “This past year has been chaotic to say the very least and while we hoped we’d be able to make the Hella Mega tour a reality for you this summer, COVID had other plans.”
The statement goes on to say “With that being said, your shows will now be happening in 2022. Your tickets are good for the new dates, so make sure you hold onto them!”
The event is one of several huge concerts which have been held at the John Smith’s Stadium in a number of years. Most recently, Take That rocked the stadium back in 2019
