Huddersfield based DeliVita serves up some festive cheer this Christmas

Christmas isn’t always a time of joy; in fact, it can be an incredibly difficult time for many which is why one Hudderfield business has made it its mission to down tools and help those facing a bleak festive period.

The team at Huddersfield-based DeliVita, the wood fired oven company, spent the day with Focus4Hope, an incredible charity dedicated to supporting the homeless, elderly, vulnerable and isolated across West Yorkshire.

DeliVita’s founder and MD Joe Formisano and his team spent the day serving up their famous pizzas together with hot drinks as well as taking the time to stop and chat to visitors to St Anne’s Resource Centre in Leeds when they visited last Friday (17th).

Joe Formisano, founder and MD at DeliVita, says: “It’s been another tough year for many people and the DeliVita team felt passionately that we wanted to do the right thing and help in some way. We’d normally be sending gifts and cards to all partners but this year we decided that our good intentions could be put to much better use. So, together with providing our famous pizzas, we’re providing hampers that are full of items that are really needed such as hygiene products, blankets, food, and warm winter items.

“We’re massively impressed with the Focus4Help team and so proud to be able to play a small part in the amazing work they do. Being able to give back and bring comfort to those in need echoes our belief that even the smallest acts of kindness can have a huge impact on individual lives.”

Focus4Hope has various initiatives running this Christmas which it’s looking for support with including its Christmas Gift appeal in association with Calderdale Lighthouse.

The charity are also looking to recruit volunteers to help them deliver food parcels to frontline NHS workers, local elderly, vulnerable, isolated and the homeless.
