Holmfirth author – Helena M Craggs

The book, The Younglings: Shadows & Magic, is a supernatural adventure novel centred around Quinn, the protagonist, a half-demon, and his friends who also possess supernatural powers. A story about witchcraft, spirits, demons, angels and the like – added with a hint of teenage angst and humour. Strongly recommended for those who are fond of series such as Charmed or The Vampire Diaries.

Having already received critical acclaim, the novel has been described by Eva Alton as “one of the best books I’ve read this year”. The award-winning paranormal author noted that she read the book in all of two days and that it kept her entertained “from start to finish”.

During the plot of the novel, we are introduced to Quinn’s love interest, Eve, a half-angel. Alton stated that she “couldn’t help rooting for Quinn to get closer to Eve among the paranormal chaos they were going through”. Despite their differences, she noted that it “didn’t feel like a strange mix at all” and that “they just go together”.

Alton remains hopeful for a sequel and mentioned that she “can’t wait for the next one”.

Helena’s book is available for purchase on Amazon, Waterstones, and all good book shops.
