Hot cross bunny 🐰

Easter is a great hop-portunity to indulge, so chick out this recipe for an egg-cellent cocktail to share with some bunny you love.

A tall-stemmed glass holds a yellow liquid, there is a decorative Easter chick perched on the rim of the glass, and more around the glass with some Mini Eggs.
A sweet, boozy Easter treat.

For the Hot Cross Gin:

  • 200 ml gin
  • 1 teaspoon cut mixed peel
  • 1 teaspoon dried fruit
  • ¼ cinnamon stick
  • 2 cloves

Put the gin, fruit and spices into a sterilised glass jar and leave for four to five days to let the flavours combine.   Give it a good shake at least once a day.  This makes more than you need for the cocktails, but the rest will make a lovely Easter spiced G&T.

For the cocktail (makes 2):

  • 100 ml Hot Cross gin
  • 100 ml orange juice
  • 50 ml amaretto

Measure the drinks into a tumbler, stir well, then pour into two martini glasses to enjoy alongside a pile of chocolate eggs.
