The creators of hit Channel 4 TV show Ackley Bridge are looking for TV ‘extras’ from our area to appear in the next series of the show.
Ackley Bridge first aired back in 2017. Set in a newly formed multi-cultural academy following the merger of two separate schools, the comedy / drama series aims to tackle real-life issues and cultural differences within an educational setting.
The show has won several awards during its run, as well as being nominated as Best New Drama at the TV Choice awards back in 2018.
Ackley Bridge is filmed in and around West Yorkshire, with the majority of filming taking place in Halifax. St Catherine’s Catholic High School in Halifax is used as the filming location for the Ackley Bridge College.
Now the creators of the show are looking to cast local TV extras for the upcoming series.
A poster advertising the TV extra roles states ‘We are looking for local members of the community to join us for the latest series of Ackley Bridge, filming in West Yorkshire.’
Successful applications will be paid for their time with no previous experience necessary. Applicants must be 16 or over and out of formal education.
