Bramble Bush Cocktail

October is here, and the last of the blackberries are drooping in the brambles of our garden.  The brandy brings an autumnal feel to this smooth cocktail with a nice hint of warmth as the evenings get cooler.  Garnish this with fresh blackberries and, of course, the obligatory cocktail cherry.

Makes 2:

  • 4 shots of brandy
  • 2 shots of blackberry liqueur
  • 4 shots of apple juice
  • 2 shots of sparkling water
  • 2 cocktail cherries
  • A few hand-picked blackberries

Shake the brandy, blackberry liqueur and apple juice in a cocktail shaker with plenty of ice cubes.  Pour the cooled cocktail into two cocktail glasses, straining it through the ice, then top it up with the sparkling water.  Plonk in the cocktail cherries and blackberries to garnish.  Cheers!
