B&M have confirmed the details about the opening of their new store on New Street in Huddersfield.
The discount retailer has taken possession of the former M&S store on New Street and is currently undergoing a comprehensive internal and external refurbishment programme before officially opening its doors at 9am on Friday 16th April.
The retailer also has two other stores within Huddersfield, one at the Beck Road Ringway Centre (Next to Matalan) and the other on the Leeds Road Retail Park.
The news of the opening is welcomed by most in the Town Centre, as the large unit has been vacant since M&S permanently closed in May 2019. The launch of the new B&M store will create around 55 jobs.
A spokesperson for B&M told us “We’re feeling extremely positive about the creation of more jobs for local people during these difficult times and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.”
“We are all really excited to get the doors open and welcome our new customers to their new store”.
B&M currently have more than 660 high street and out-of-town stores across the UK. To find out more about their stores visit www.bmstores.co.uk/stores.
